Drumming music what is that?
After all these years in the music industry it never ceases to amaze me just how many drummers have very little or no understanding of drumming music.
I can relate to the fact to if you were to pick ten people off of the street they would not know the answer to this question and yet they would relate to piano music. This is where the route of the problem lies.
In order to play advanced drums unless you have an outstanding talent it is essential to have a basic understanding of drumming music.
Why do I have to know about drumming music?
If you were to browse around any music store today it’s amazing just how much information is available from gospel drumming, bass drumming, teaching drumming and much more. However if you have no knowledge of drumming music you had just as well be blind.
Drumming music is written on manuscript paper just like piano music each space and line has a meaning. For example beats to be played on the snare or hi hat crash cymbal or tom toms and bass drum they all have a place on the manuscript.
This may seem complicated at first however once you have a full understanding of this it will open up a new world for you.
Of course you have to practice in order to become an advanced drummer but once you are able to understand drumming music it will really accelerate your progress.
